About Our Ballast Upgrades Projects

The photos in this gallery show ballast bag installs, pump and plumbing work and switch panel additions. We secure every bag so it cannot shift, route hoses away from wiring and fuse every pump so a stuck switch cannot drain the batteries.

We handle ballast upgrades work for boat owners across Seattle, the Eastside, Snohomish County and Pierce County, at your dock or at our Kirkland shop at 611 4th Ave. The 12 photos below are real Divine Marine work, not stock images. Click any photo to open it full size.

How It Works

How We Handle Ballast Upgrades Jobs

The same four steps on every ballast upgrades job, from a small upgrade to a full build.

01

Assess The Job

We look at the boat and talk through what you want from the ballast upgrades work before we quote anything.

02

Written Quote

A written quote lists materials, labor and timing, so there are no surprises when the work is done.

03

Do The Work Right

Ballast Upgrades work is done with marine grade materials and the same care whether it is a small job or a full build.

04

Final Check

We inspect the finished work with you and explain any care or maintenance it needs.

Ballast Upgrades FAQ

Questions we hear about ballast upgrades work.

How much ballast can I add to my wake boat?

It depends on the hull and the manufacturer rating. We check the boat capacity plate and recommend bag sizes that improve the wave without overloading the boat.

Can ballast bags be filled from the helm?

Yes. We plumb bags to pumps controlled by switches at the helm so you can fill and drain without opening lockers.

Will extra ballast affect my batteries?

Pumps draw power, so we fuse them and often add a battery or charger upgrade on boats with large audio systems as well.
