Shane at Divine replaced the Fusion stereo and speakers on my boat. He did an incredible job guiding me to the right solution and then doing the install. He was mobile so the experience was quite convenient and the workmanship was of the highest quality. In addition, he gave me recommendations to other service providers to do repairs on my boat. My experience was terrific and I highly recommend Shane and Divine.

Shane was great! Very knowledgeable about audio and electronics, great suggestions for products. Best of all, he picked up my boat and returned it the very next day with all new sound system! Really happy with the update so far!

Shane is wonderful to work with. He put a much needed upgraded sound system on my yacht in Lake Union and some other nice gadgets. Beautiful workmanship.

Engine Room Detailing Seattle

Bilge Detailing: The Highest Value Detail On Any Boat

The bilge and engine room are the heart of the boat, and the most neglected. Grease, oil, salt and standing water build up down there and hide exactly the problems you most want to catch early: a weeping seal, a slow fuel leak, a chafed hose. On a dirty engine room floor, a new leak is invisible. On a clean one, it shows up the day it starts.

We degrease, clean, dry and inspect bilges and engine spaces properly: machinery surfaces wiped down, bilge compartments degreased and dried, pumps and float switches cleaned and tested, and absorbents replaced. Everything is done with marine safe products and disposed of correctly, because what comes out of a bilge cannot just go down the drain.

The benefits go beyond maintenance. Odors from old oil and standing water disappear, fire and slip risk drops, and when survey time comes, a clean engine room tells a buyer the boat has been cared for better than any listing description can.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does a clean bilge matter if nobody sees it?

Because you see problems in it. A new oil or fuel leak on a clean bilge floor is obvious immediately. In a dirty bilge it hides until it becomes a real failure. It is genuinely a maintenance tool, not just cosmetics.

Will cleaning damage electrical connections?

Not the way we work. We use controlled amounts of product, avoid direct soaking of electrical components and dry everything thoroughly.

Can you get rid of the bilge smell in my cabin?

In most cases, yes. That smell is usually old oil, stagnant water and bacterial growth in the bilge. Removing the source and drying the space eliminates it rather than masking it.

What does engine room detailing cost?

It depends on the size of the space and how much buildup there is. It is one of the most affordable details relative to its value. Contact us with your boat details for a quote.
