Shane at Divine replaced the Fusion stereo and speakers on my boat. He did an incredible job guiding me to the right solution and then doing the install. He was mobile so the experience was quite convenient and the workmanship was of the highest quality. In addition, he gave me recommendations to other service providers to do repairs on my boat. My experience was terrific and I highly recommend Shane and Divine.

Shane was great! Very knowledgeable about audio and electronics, great suggestions for products. Best of all, he picked up my boat and returned it the very next day with all new sound system! Really happy with the update so far!

Shane is wonderful to work with. He put a much needed upgraded sound system on my yacht in Lake Union and some other nice gadgets. Beautiful workmanship.
Graphics Removal Seattle
Removing a boat name looks simple until someone does it wrong. Rushed removal leaves adhesive residue, torn gelcoat, or the classic ghost: a shadow of the old name burned into the finish where the surrounding gelcoat oxidized around the vinyl. Done properly, the transom comes back clean and even.
We remove vinyl names, registration numbers, striping and full graphics packages using controlled heat and the right tools, never razor blades against gelcoat. Adhesive residue comes off with marine safe removers that do not attack the finish.
The critical step is what comes after: the exposed area is compounded and polished to blend with the surrounding gelcoat, erasing the oxidation line that creates the ghost effect. Where the contrast is severe, we wet sand and blend. The goal is a transom that looks like the name was never there.
Capabilities
Thermal, low light and engine room cameras, installed and networked as one system.
Transom and hull names removed with controlled heat, without damaging the gelcoat underneath.
Old state numbers and documentation lettering removed cleanly from hull sides.
Full vinyl striping and graphic packages removed, including aged, baked on vinyl.
All residue removed with gelcoat safe products, no scraping.
Oxidation lines and shadows compounded and polished out so the surface is even.
Surface prepped and ready for your new name or graphics installer.
How It Goes
Four steps from the first look at your boat to a night test on the water.
Vinyl is warmed and lifted carefully so the gelcoat underneath is never gouged or scraped.
Remaining adhesive dissolved with marine safe removers and cleaned away.
The exposed area is compounded and polished to match the surrounding finish.
Checked in direct light from multiple angles so no shadow or line remains.
Questions
Not when we are done. The ghost is just an oxidation line where the vinyl protected the gelcoat beneath it. We compound and polish the whole area so the finish is even.
Yes. Aged vinyl takes more patience and more heat control, but it comes off. The older the vinyl, the more important the blending step afterward.
We prep the surface perfectly for new graphics and can coordinate installation. Many customers have the new name measured and ordered while we do the removal.
It depends on the size of the graphics and how much blending the gelcoat needs. A simple transom name is quick; full graphics packages with heavy ghosting take longer. We quote after seeing it.
Restore your boat’s original shine and protect the gelcoat from further breakdown.
Eliminate scratches, swirl marks and years of dock rash from the finish.
Long lasting protection against Pacific Northwest sun, rain and salt.
Gentle but effective cleaning that lifts dirt, grime and salt residue.
Bring back the brilliance of railings, cleats, rub rails and hardware.
Revive the natural golden beauty of teak decks, trim and furniture.
Degreased, cleaned and inspected so leaks show up before they become failures.
