Shane at Divine replaced the Fusion stereo and speakers on my boat. He did an incredible job guiding me to the right solution and then doing the install. He was mobile so the experience was quite convenient and the workmanship was of the highest quality. In addition, he gave me recommendations to other service providers to do repairs on my boat. My experience was terrific and I highly recommend Shane and Divine.

Shane was great! Very knowledgeable about audio and electronics, great suggestions for products. Best of all, he picked up my boat and returned it the very next day with all new sound system! Really happy with the update so far!

Shane is wonderful to work with. He put a much needed upgraded sound system on my yacht in Lake Union and some other nice gadgets. Beautiful workmanship.

Metal Polishing Seattle

Stainless Brightwork That Actually Stays Bright

Stainless steel on a boat is not stainless, it is stain resistant. Salt air, hard water and neglect leave railings dull, spotted and eventually tea stained with surface rust. The good news is that nearly all of it polishes out, and protected stainless stays bright far longer.

We polish railings, stanchions, cleats, chocks, rub rail inserts, rod holders, anchors and deck hardware. The process steps from cutting compounds for oxidized and stained metal through to fine finishing polishes that bring out a mirror shine, all done with the right tools so fittings are not damaged and surrounding gelcoat is protected.

The final step is protection. Polished stainless left bare in salt air starts dulling within weeks. We seal the metal after polishing so the shine lasts the season, and maintenance washes keep it that way.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Can pitted stainless be fixed?

Light pitting polishes out or becomes nearly invisible. Deep pitting can be improved significantly but not erased. We will show you honestly what to expect before starting.

Why does my stainless rust if it is stainless?

Marine stainless resists corrosion but salt, iron contamination and crevice moisture still cause surface tea staining and light rust. It sits on the surface and polishes off; it is not the metal failing.

How long does a polish last?

Sealed and maintained, a full season. Unprotected stainless on saltwater can start dulling in weeks, which is why we always seal after polishing.

Do you polish aluminum too?

Yes. Anodized and bare aluminum need different products and technique than stainless, and we treat them accordingly.
